Gregorio Luke (https://www.gregorioluke.com/) – Gregorio is an expert on Mexican and Latin American art andculture. He is the former Director of the Museum of Latin American Art, Consul of Cultural Affairs of Mexico in Los Angeles and the First Secretary of the embassy of Mexico in Washington D.C. We are pleased to welcome Luke once again to San Pedro, our host for our Cuatro on Cabrilo series which featured films by mexican Oscar winning directors, discussion, food and, salons at the Luke home.

Gallery Azul’s vision is to use art to educate the community on cultural, historical events that impact us all. Gallery Azul opened its doors on November 2nd, 2006 with a group show in honor of the San Pedro’s celebration of the Mexican “Día de Los Muertos” (Day of the Dead). Additionally, the Gallery held women themed shows for Women’s Heritage Month, and in previous years, sponsored Teacher as Artist-Artist as Teacher exhibits for teacher appreciation month. Gallery Azul is committed to finding high quality, collectible, cultural, and conceptual art to add to the San Pedro Art scene and to offer to art collectors.

We believe in the transformative power of the arts to unify, strengthen, and inspire our community. Silvia Askenazi, Instructor and founder of Tango San Pedro, was born in Buenos Aires, and moved to Los Angeles almost 20 years ago, where she started dancing Tango, learning from many of the local teachers and milongueros, and from visiting teachers and Maestros from Argentina. She has been dancing for more than 16 years and sharing her passion at her studio in San Pedro since 2009.
